Professional Archaeological Services

Protection of Nlaka’pamux archaeological sites is vital. Our archaeology team has many years of experience and a vested interest in doing the best archaeology work possible. Through the team’s careful and very thorough efforts, we have found and protected more archaeology sites than was ever done in the past or by others. The Elders guide the work to be done.

Archaeology is about the investigation and documentation of the past through the study and analysis of material remains. At AEW, we are committed to working in continuous collaboration with communities, government agencies, and various stakeholders to better understand and preserve the heritage record.

The AEW archaeology team consists of permit holders, Field Directors, Archaeological Assistants, and Cultural Heritage Field Technicians. We provide a full spectrum of cultural resource management services. These include Archaeological Desktop Assessments and Heritage Field Reconnaissance, Archaeological Impact Assessment (under permit), Archaeological Construction Monitoring, and Artifact Analysis.

Forestry

A.E.W. LP provides a holistic approach to forest stewardship, planning and development. A.E.W. LP is pleased to provide research and consultation services on forestry projects, and practices from an ecological perspective.

We provide reviews of forestry activities and planning occurring in the Nlaka’pamux homeland; including Forest Stewardship Plans, Woodlot License Plans, Operating Plans and Cutting Permit Development.

We also review forestry initiatives from the Provincial and Federal Governments and collaborates with Provincial officials on technical working groups dedicated to forestry issues.
